From weddings and holiday parties to corporate retreats and social gatherings, our catering team delivers unforgettable events with creative menus, seamless service, and elevated design expertise.We are seeking additional Event Servers to help facilitate Gils events and to provide Front of House support at events. Responsibilities include setting tables and buffet stations, assisting with event setup and breakdown, and serving and clearing food and beverages using proper techniques. Event Servers maintain a clean, professional work environment, coordinate with team members to ensure seamless service, and present a polished, professional appearance at all times.This position will be stationed out of the Gil's Elegant Catering facility located in Grand Prairie, TX.Duties may include but are not limited to:Ensure the setting of tables completely according to diagram and/or sample table.Responsible for setting buffet stations which may include décor.Assist in the unloading/loading of off-premise event trucks.Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.Keep work area clean, and coordinate actions with the banquet team members, and all other members of the front and back of the house to ensure flawless customer service.Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.Performs other related duties as requiredQualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceExperience in food & beverage or hospitality is preferredMust be comfortable commuting to Grand Prairie, TX.Specialized Qualifications:Excellent listening and communication skillsRenowned time management and organization skillsStrong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client's needsThe ability to work alone and as a teamStrong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quicklyWork EnvironmentThis position may report to the Gil's Elegant Catering facility or directly report to event locations. This position will require traversing different terrains while lifting and moving product, equipment, and food items. This position could also drive or ride to events across the greater Atlanta region where the work environments may be buildings, temporary structures, or outdoors.Uniform RequirementsAdherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.Non-slip shoes are necessary.Physical Demands:Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venueBending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food itemsAbility to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30 lbs.CORE VALUE AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSBusiness Acumen - Demonstrate comprehension of the job, including policies, practices, and relationships.
