  • Nights, 5:20pm to 5:30am, with 3 paid breaks
A Day in the Life

You arrive before the line starts, review storyboards across the work group, and turn repeat failures into action plans. As production ramps up, you move between assets diagnosing electro-mechanical issues using schematics, manuals, and drawings—isolating faults quickly and getting equipment back online. You collaborate with the Value Stream Manager, Work Group Leaders, Process Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, Line Technicians, and Set-up Technicians to lift reliability and case attainment. Throughout the shift, you document maintenance activities, coach maintenance shift technicians, and keep the area safe and orderly. If a chronic issue surfaces, you lead a design of experiments and champion improvement projects that raise line efficiency for the long term.

What You’ll Do
  • Independently troubleshoot and repair production and plant equipment (electrical and mechanical), applying preventive maintenance strategies and teaching others to do the same.
  • Identify faulty parts, generate accurate requisitions with correct nomenclature, and manage storeroom withdrawals/returns while knowing where critical spares are located.
  • Use standard hand tools and basic machine shop equipment; apply a general working knowledge of machine shop practices.
  • Maintain records, follow established maintenance procedures, and uphold a clean, safe work environment.
  • Partner closely with your cross-functional work group; train maintenance shift technicians and communicate openly across the team.
  • Walk storyboards across the work group and build targeted action plans to eliminate recurring failures.
  • Lead line improvements, design of experiments, and projects to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call phone support for assistance/reporting to/by team.
  • Perform additional shift-specific tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader, plus other duties as necessary.
Technical Competencies
  • Administrative: Accurately post data into ERP and related systems (e.g., SAP, Outlook, Excel, Microsoft, etc.).
  • Communication & Teamwork: Work productively within a cross-functional team; promote openness, honesty, trust, and teamwork; prioritize and multi-task without losing composure.
  • Safety: Actively engage in all company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Quality: Build and sustain processes that meet ISO requirements.
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate advanced, end-to-end understanding from concept through commercialization.
  • Operate Equipment: Safely operate motorized and peripheral equipment; use standard hand tools; run basic machine shop equipment.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Apply advanced mechanical aptitude and deep knowledge of manufacturing technologies, methods, machines, and equipment.
Education & Experience
  • Three to five years of experience in a related field.
  • High school graduate required.
  • Vocational/trade school in electro-mechanical disciplines desired.
  • Ability to read and use precision instruments (micrometers, calipers).
  • Speaking and presentation skills to conduct effective meetings.

  • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
  • 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems
  • Pneumatics Troubleshooting
  • Tape Measure Reading
